Note: the HotSW LEP Rural Enterprise Grant scheme has been closed to new applications, with effect from 6pm on Tuesday 7th January 2014.  However, the Heart of the South West Business Support programme is still available - this assists rural businesses across Devon and Somerset.  You can find out more at

Rural Enterprise Grant

The Rural Enterprise Grant was launched in January 2013 and was designed to boost growth and create jobs throughout the area.  Rural enterprises with fewer than ten employees were eligible to apply for the business grantsover £10,000, although applicants needed to meet 60% of project costs, with the grant covering a maximum of 40%.

This project was supported by the Rural Development Programme for England, for which Defra is the Managing Authority, part financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas. It was grant funded through the HotSW LEP REG Programme and delivered by Devon County Council on behalf of the Heart of the South West (HotSW) Local Enterprise Partnership.
