Funding update

The recent announcement of £65.2m Growth Deal funding enables specific projects approved by Government to be delivered in this latest successful bid.

The LEP bids for funding streams available from national government, EU government, private sector investment and third sector grants for projects that are in line with its Strategic Economic Plan.

Stakeholders are notified of these funding opportunities through the formal governence of the LEP board and management team, and through the LEP’s communications activity; primarily the monthly newsletter, media promotion, correspondence with district councils, meetings and presentations and Twitter.

The Heart of the South West LEP has no allocated discretionary funding, therefore is unable to respond to speculative applications.

Applications can only be made in response to a published call for proposals for a particular activity in line with criteria set by each funding process, and clear information and guidance is available from the LEP when calls for funding are live.

There are currently no calls out for new funding applications, however the Heart of the South West continues to make the case for investment and will communicate through its governence and communications routes as soon as new opportunities become available.
